Benefits of PedicuresPedicures help keep feet looking young. During our Escape Pedicure, you receive a relaxing massage of your legs and feet. This helps to improve blood circulation and improves mobility for the joints. With pedicures, the chances of your nails developing fungi and other infections are reduced. A regular pedicure once a week may help to get rid of corns and calluses.

Pre-Treatment AdviceIf having nail polish applied to your toes please bring open toed sandals with you to allow adequate drying time. Check you can slip the sandals on without them touching or rubbing your toenails. Please remove varnish where possible prior to attending your appointment. If you have gel polish on your toenails, an appointment to remove it should be made prior to your pedicure. PLEASE DO NOT SHAVE YOUR LEGS BEFORE A PEDICURE By shaving, the razor creates microtears in the skin, which can allow bacteria to be introduced right into the legs. This can cause serious infections, like cellulitis. I recommend waiting at least two days after shaving before receiving a pedicure.

What is a therapeutic paraffin foot treatment? The warm therapeutic treatment is to super hydrate the skin and soothe inflamed joints — a perfect cure for dry, rough or cracked skin on your feet. Your feet will be covered in therapeutic paraffin wax wrapped up and you can relax as the benefits kick in. The paraffin is scented with soothing essential oils. The wax will trap the heat against your skin as it hardens, opening the pores. Once the wax is completely cooled it will be pulled away, taking dead skin cells along with it. BENEFITS: The heat of the wax is absorbed by the skin and thus opens the pores. It moisturizes and gives off a radiant look to your feet feeling silky and smooth. It soothes the muscle pains, and helps increase the blood circulation of the body. Helps create moisture in your skin long after the treatment is complete. Can aid in healing problems with the skin. Paraffin wax can be effective in soothing and softening calluses on hands and feet and healing dry cracked skin, especially on heels. Paraffin wax has been shown to treat conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia among others. Can help with lowering fluid retention and flushing toxins, which can reduce swelling. You should avoid using paraffin wax if: If you have poor blood circulation If you have numbness in your hands or feet If you’re diabetic or if you have any rashes or open sores Pregnant woman can receive this treatment but should remember that chronic foot swelling is common and a treatment that utilizes heat will not benefit this condition. Try looking for treatments that use cold or cooling methods to ease this problem.
